When one man’s death exposes a complex web of lies, three couples discover the true meaning of love, loss and redemption.
I was the strong one, they said, until two words brought me to my knees.
It was a secret I didn’t share with anyone. A secret that made me promise I’d never fall in love.
I no longer wanted that white picket fence of every woman’s dreams.
Until the unthinkable happened.
I thought I had it all with the best medical practice in the state and the woman of my dreams.
I wore a smile on my face every single day.
I couldn’t wait to watch her walk down the aisle and start our forever, except she never did.
My runaway bride made me realize love isn’t worth it.
What happens when your dreams unexpectedly come true?
This is the story of unexpected love.

I couldn’t wait to read the second book in the Love Story series by Natasha Madison, and it sure didn’t disappoint.
This book starts at exactly the same point as book one. Natasha does a great job describing this part again through Crystal’s POV, so you don’t really need to read book one, but you would be doing yourself a disservice if you don’t.
Crystal and Gabe’s story was everything that I was hoping it would be. Except it ended up by being more. These two are just meant to be. They have such strong emotions towards it each other. Whether it is in anger, frustration or even passion. They do everything full throttle. You never have to wonder what they are feeling or thinking as they just come out and say or do it.
Crystal’s story starts off with an extremely sad discovery. But thankfully the gods were in her favour as she does receive a miracle. The start to Gabe’s story was shocking for him also, but everything happens for a reason, and he ended up being where he needed to be.
Thankfully we don’t have to wait too long for the next book!!

The second book of the “Love Series” by Natasha Madison can be read as a standalone, but I would recommend reading the books together, because a lot of the plot happens at the same time. You could easily switch between the books, to get an even better reading experience.
I did not do that which resulted in me getting a book I felt as if I had read it already. A lot of the things happening in this book was teased or shown from another perspective in the first book. That being said the things we did not see in the first book were great. The build up to the finale was funny and easy to read and understand. I guessed a few things from the beginning on, but it wasn’t that bad and I was still surprised how it turned out in the end. I wished for a little more conflict and maybe a better closure for Gabe, because I felt as if (SPOILER) Bethany didn’t explain herself enough. I know he didn’t really want to hear it, but I wanted to know!
The characters were well developed and easy to understand. Both had to fight their demons that were new and old and hidden really good till the day they came to light. I liked how the characters grew through the story and showed their vulnerability more and more, thawing their frozen souls.
The plot was easy to follow, because most of it was already known from the previous book, but a few twists gave it the spice I needed to stay interested.
I am looking forward to get the third book of this series, to get a final conclusion on some things.
