I’m not conceited.

Really, I’m not. It just so happens I have a body a Greek God would be jealous of, and a face that could make an angel weep. Other than that, I’m just your everyday normal guy who happens to take his clothes off for money. Sure, I’ve had to dispose of a few guys for In Safe Hands, the organization I work with that helps track predators and child molesters, but other than that, completely normal.

Women flock to me, screaming and paying for the right to touch me, so why is this woman so stubborn? Sadie Belmont’s curvy body and sharp tongue have haunted me since I met her a year ago. There’s something about her that gets stuck in my head like a bad song, and I’m determined to find out why I want her so badly, and why she can’t stomach the thought.

I can’t believe I’m doing this. Of all the men in the world, I’m taking Justus Alexander to my childhood home in Oklahoma to meet my mother. A stripper who has a revolving door of women jumping in and out of his bed. Nine months ago when I lied to my mother and told her I had a steady boyfriend, I didn’t expect it to come to this. She doesn’t have long to live, and her only wish is to know I have a husband before she goes.

I can’t disappoint her, and male escorts cost way more than I can afford, so when Justus volunteered, I took him up on his offer. I know what he wants. After annoying me with constant pick up lines for a year, he sees an opportunity to get me in bed. It’s not going to happen. I just need to get through this week with my sanity intact.

Justus teaser 2

What is wrong with me? I’ve seen him shirtless before. Hell, I’ve seen him strip down to a thong, and it didn’t affect me like this. Is it just because we’re in a room together with a bed conveniently located a few feet away?
“Your cheeks are red,” he points out, amusement dancing in his eyes.
“It’s warm in here.”
“Uh-huh.” He digs into the pizza, grinning at me. “You want me. It’s okay. Perfectly natural.”
“I do not want you!”
“Your pointy nipples say different.”
“Can’t you just shut up and eat?”
“Absolutely.” He manages about thirty seconds of silence before adding, “We don’t have to sleep together. I can just give you the zombie.”
I’m totally going to regret asking, but I can’t resist. “What the hell is the zombie?”
“You just lie back and get eaten.”
My mind crafts a picture of his blond head between my legs and I shift in my seat. “You heard the part about there being no sex on this trip, right?”
“Yeah, but that was before you started objectifying me.”
I’m going to strangle him. “You’re the one prancing around naked. I know you’re an exhibitionist and all, but you can pack it away for a week. I don’t need to see it.”
“Fine.” He sits back and takes a drink. “But since I showed you mine, it’s only fair that…”
“Forget it,” I laugh, and he smiles at me.
“Just the boobs?”
“You’re no fun.”

🌟🌟🌟🌟 REVIEW by Kassa

I am a fan of SM Shade’s books. I loved her Striking Back Series and was glad that I could get my hands on this one.
I haven’t read the other books in the series, but will do so, since I felt like I am missing big chunks of information on those side characters that appeared throughout the book. All characters were well developed which made me want to stay with them longer and put their books on my tbr. I wouldn’t say you need to read the first two books, but it surely is helpful and gives you more insight in their thoughts.
Back to Justus and Sadie. Both characters had their quirks and instantly made me like them. They were not perfect, not even for each other (in the beginning) and that made it refreshingly different to read their story.
(Possible spoiler ahead!)
They fought, made up and didn’t even realize that they already were in love when the book started and only fell deeper while the story continued. I liked the plot and the writing style, since both complemented each other and the plot itself was very thought through and had no plotholes.
The only slightly negative thing I found was the part with the sister. I already guessed what would happen and all that happened too fast and too… unpersonal somehow. I can’t really put it in words, but this was how I felt.

BLOG TOUR WITH REVIEW – Forged By Fate by Stacy Von Haegert

As the younger brother to the King of Angels, Stefen Von Emmerich had spent his life resenting his royal obligations and doing the exact opposite of what was expected of him. However, all that ‘couldn’t-give-a-damn’ attitude was hurled right out of his well-guarded window the day he had the misfortune of being killed…

After being turned into a Vampire, Stefen finds more than his mere existence to be altered. Now a Fallen, a hybrid with his maker’s famed Dragon blood coursing through his veins, Stefen must rediscover himself and his newly awakening powers.

When he is sent on a mission back to Hell, the place of his death, he discovers much more than what he bargained for. A child was left behind as a result of the battle that forever changed him. A victim of the war between the realms. Another hybrid, like him.

Compelled by reasons beyond his own understanding, Stefen strikes a deal to help the innocent child. As she grows into a beautiful young woman, the more intertwined their two lives become and the more perilous their unique paths grow. It’s not long before an old Oracle’s words from years ago begin to ring true…”Fate holds the cards. Time reveals the hand.”

This is book 2 in what I believe will be a trilogy (I could be wrong, it could be more) it’s takes straight from where book 1 left us and this book packs a punch. Again I feel there are parts that just wasn’t needed and they were maybe ‘fillers’ of sorts.

Again the mythical being are well planned and thought out and we have the introduction of yet more of these beings which helped to keep the story fresh and alive. The twists again come thick and fast and are really good.

We are introduced to new characters in the book and they are very welcome additions along with the characters we grew to love in book 1.

The writing is good but I found one particular story twist was used twice which was a little disappointing but I’m sure the author had her reasons to do so and I’m hoping that will be revealed in book 3 which isn’t going to be here until early 2018.

All in it’s a very enjoyable read especially for those that love to read about other beings

4 stars from me

Ash LaGoryen was the second son, born of nobility into the
Ushum bloodline-House of the Dragon in the year 776. History claims in every
generation a child of royal blood is born to the four elemental houses
possessing “The gift”- an ability to bend their chosen element. Ash was this
child and fire was his gift. But…Possessing such a skill was a dangerous thing for
the young boy of only seven summers.

Present day

Ash has spent twelve hundred years staying under the radar
of the monster that ransacked his homelands as a boy and later, after years of
torture, turned him into the thing he hated the most. A Vampire. The polished
gentleman that stands before Ash in the mirror now, conducts his business
during the daylight hours and enjoys his lush, reclusive life as one of the
world’s wealthiest empire moguls.

Vastly different from the young immortal that escaped the
pits of Hell all those years ago, Ash has zero interest of returning to the
station of his royal birth. But, when an ancient prophecy comes to light he
finds himself dragged right back into the world of his ancestral bloodline.
When the foretold “Chosen one”, with the power to unite the realms, turns out
to be a beautiful young mortal, Ash is faced with a whole new set of challenges
as an impending war looms around them. He will have to weigh his choices
carefully as the demons of his past rise up to threaten his future.

BLOG TOUR WITH REVIEW – Lord And Master Trilogy by Kait Jagger

Lord and Master Trilogy
Kait Jagger
Publication date: March 20th 2017
Genres: Erotica, Romance, Suspense

You think you know Luna Gregory?

Maybe you see what her boss, the Marchioness of Lionsbridge, sees: the best PA she’s ever had, a 26-year-old fixer who makes problems disappear with four quiet words—‘Leave it with me.’ Or you see a remote, untouchable Ice Princess who the 500-year-old Arborage Estate’s heir presumptive longs to crush under his heel. Possibly, if you’re looking carefully, you see Luna as her friends see her: the quiet one, touched by childhood tragedy, who laughs at their jokes and has their backs no matter what.

But ultimately it takes charismatic, devastatingly attractive Swedish entrepreneur Stefan Lundgren, third in line to inherit the estate, to glimpse the intelligent, fiercely independent woman under Luna’s calm exterior. And what he sees he wants, this woman in ten thousand who is meant for him, body writhing beneath his in the dark of night, her inner self slowly revealing itself to him. Or so he believes.

But Luna has built an entire life predicated on concealment, on maintaining control and hiding dark things in drawers. It will take the entirety of the Lord and Master trilogy, from the manicured gardens of Arborage, to the wilds of Shetland, to the streets of Stockholm, for her to step out of the shadows in the face of a new threat to Arborage.

You think you know Luna? You don’t.

The Lord and Master trilogy:

Lord and Master

Her Master’s Servant

The Marchioness

Goodreads / Amazon

I had been looking for a good trilogy for a while and I love it when you can just go straight from book to book so when I read the synopsis for this book I was really looking forward to reading it. Overall I really enjoyed the three books. The trilogy includes the books, Lord and Master, Her Master’s Servant and The Marchioness. The build-up in the first book was good, it wasn’t too slow but I loved the relationship between Luna and Stefan and how it developed. One of my favourite genres is historical romance and whilst this was not historical I liked where the story was set. The author did a fabulous job with the descriptive parts of the story; I could totally imagine Arborage Estate and what everything looked like.

Lord and Master
I would probably give this book 4.5 stars. It started really well; the story about Luna was intriguing. We got to see into her childhood and the things that happened to her. I really liked her, she was independent and head strong. There were a few twists and turns and the pace was good for the first book in a trilogy. I loved Stefan’s character straight away. He was certainly swoon-worthy!

Her Master’s Servant
I think I would give this book 4 stars. We pick up with Luna after she has left Stefan and she escapes to Scotland. If I’m perfectly honest I did skim over a few parts in this story especially when Luna was in Scotland. The pace of the story was still good and it led nicely into the third book where you could tell something was going to happen!

The Marchioness
This was definitely a 5 star books for me! It was my favourite out of the three books! There was a lot more action in this story! More Luna and more Stefan – what more could you ask for!! The descriptive writing continued to be just as good in this book! I loved it!!

I have to give this trilogy 4.5 stars overall because book 2 let it down just ever so slightly but it was still a brilliant read and one that I will definitely be reading again!

 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 REVIEW

The absolute best thing about this book is that ot is based on a true story. Although it’s quite a short read it is action packed and has you hooked. I think so of this is because you’re aware it’s a true story it makes it that little bit more special and inviting.

The story is well written in its descriptive text and general storytelling and I really did love it! I love how the characters real ness is portrayed lumps, bumps, warts and all. I love how even though we don’t know who exactly who this is about we know that it comes from real life and i would guess that to some stories like this can be of great comfort.

I love how it potrays that just because society deems we’re ‘past’ it doesnt mean that we are and that if we are brave enough to go out and get what we want then you can be damn sure you will get it. Life is all about taking risk and it damn sure shos in this fantastic book!

I can’t wait for the next instalment of this true to life story.
5* from me

🌟🌟🌟.5 REVIEW

By Kassa

This boxed set of three about novella length stores is a nice read. Overall I really enjoyed the stories and will tell my thoughts on each book.

Book 1: Alexander’s Blood Bride
This book was such a great start into this series! I immediately connected with the characters and was amazed on how good they were portrayed since it is “only” novella length. Yet the author manages to portray each character in his/her unique way with just a few words. It was truly amazing and I am really glad I could read this story.
Alexander and Cat fit very well together and overcome the obstacles that are thrown in their direction with ease – together.
There was just one thing that felt wrong for me: Cat’s unique trait seemed so important and like the hint to something far bigger and more dangerous and yet, in the end no one is interested in her anymore. That didn’t make so much sense.
4 stars for this one

Book 2: Michael’s Soul Mate
Michael and Anna. We already met Michael in Alexander’s book and he seemed like the typical cliché vampire: charming and womanizing. Well, in this book we see a completely different side of him and I am glad about it. He is caring and wants to protect his fledgling from the world and even himself. He still is charming, but sees that he can’t continue with his womanizing ways if he wants to keep Anna with him.
And Anna, beautiful, shy Anna. Her confusion and anger was really good portrayed and I liked her even more than Cat, because she showed more fire and managed to help herself to survive. She is a survivor and I would have loved for their story to be longer to see more of them.
4 stars

Book 3: Lucille’s Valentine
I didn’t like Lucille in the other books, not even when she helped Michael to find Anna. She seemed standoffish and a stickler to the rules who would have stabbed her brother in the back if her maker would have wanted her to. It continues this way in her book. Her actions don’t really make sense to me. Why does she want to know so much about the power Marek has achieved? What is in it for her? And also her “feelings” for Valentine didn’t seem real, or deep. Not like the feelings of the other couples in the series. Maybe it was my general dislike for Lucille that made me not enjoy her book as much as the first two ones, but yeah, I couldn’t connect with her. She seemed more shallow than all of the other characters in the other books, which made it hard for me to stay in the story.
Aaaand the end. I didn’t know what to do with it. Seriously. It felt incomplete and not thought through. In my opinion this book was the weakest of all three and would totally put me off from reading more of this series.
2 stars

Overall I would recommend this boxed set as a fast and good read with nicely developed characters and a story line without plotholes or too many things that make no sense. The author has a good writing style that makes it easy to slip into the story and come back only when you have finished everything. Other than the last book I really liked the endings and all the things that happened.
All in all: 3.5 stars

Everything changes when Josh discovers his and Tish’s love has produced the one thing that will bind her to his side forever. Only then does indecision flee, and possessive rage takes over.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 REVIEW by Katie

Blind Faith is the second book in the Steel Jackals MC series and what a book it is! After finishing
Blind Devotion I couldn’t wait to see more from Tish and Josh. There were so many twists and turns in this book and it was in no way predictable! I was a bit worried that with the age gap between Tish and Josh I would find her a bit irritating but I didn’t. Her character grew nicely over the story, I liked that although she had grown up with the MC as family she was still slightly naïve to what they did. Josh certainly tried his hardest to shield her even though I think Tish was much stronger than her thought her to be! It was nice to see more form Josh’s background and I liked that the story was told from both of their POV’s.

So I kind of loved Josh in the first book, Blind Devotion, and I know definitely love him! He was just totally different to what I expected. Yes he still had his dominant side but once we found out his story from his childhood his actions were much clearer to understand.

I really enjoyed this authors writing style, the story was gritty, romantic, steamy, adrenaline fuelled and full of action! I love a good MC romance story and I know that I have found a new author who knows how to write a good MC romance book! I am eagerly awaiting more from the Steel Jackals MC’s!

Nineteen-year-old Tish O’Malley has loved Josh “The Guardian” Sylvan since she was a child. When her reticent hero returns to Queen Creek after serving a three-year prison term meant for her mother, Tish is through pretending this man nearly twice her age isn’t the only happiness she’s ever known.

Will the viciously loyal Sergeant at Arms stand by his instant and brutal rejection of the woman Tish has become? Or will he give in and claim her as his young queen despite his best efforts to resist the one female who should never have made it on his radar?

*PLEASE BE AWARE: Blind Devotion was formerly released in November 2015 as HIS YOUNG QUEEN by TIFF P. RAINE. It has been revised, given a new title and cover, but it hasn’t been altered enough for any information to be missed if you don’t re-read before continuing with the books that will follow. This is the intro to the STEEL JACKALS MC series, and it’s in Tish O’Malley’s POV only. Hers and Josh’s story will continue in dual POV in BLIND FAITH, which is scheduled for release at the end of February 2017.
